Everything You Need to Know
A complete guide to every feature on KaloTopia — from tracking your first item to getting the best deal automatically.
Getting Started
KaloTopia is a price tracking tool that monitors any product across the web and alerts you the moment the price drops to your target. No app to install — it works entirely in your browser.
Create an account
Click Sign Up in the top right. Enter your email and create a password. You'll get a confirmation email — click the link inside to verify and you're in.
Find a product to track
Go to Track an Item. You have four ways to add a product — type its name, paste a link, upload screenshots, or scan its barcode. All four are explained in detail below.
Set your target price
After the product is found, enter the price you want to pay. This should be lower than the current price — it's the number that triggers your alert when the price drops to or below it.
Enter your email (and phone if you're in the US/Canada)
Your alert is sent here. If you're outside the US and Canada, just email is used — tick the checkbox and no phone number is needed.
Hit Start Tracking
That's it. KaloTopia checks prices automatically every day and alerts you when your target is hit. You can also check manually any time from your dashboard.
How to Track an Item
KaloTopia gives you four different ways to add a product. Each one is designed for a different situation. Here's exactly how each one works:
Type to Search
Type the name of any product — for example "Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones" or"Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 6 Quart". KaloTopia searches across major retailers and shows you matching results with their current prices.
Click the result that matches what you want. The more specific your search, the more accurate the match — include the brand, model, colour, and size if you know them.
💡 Best for: Electronics, appliances, toys, books, games — anything with a clear model name or product title you know exactly.
Product URL
Copy the link directly from any product page in your browser and paste it here. This is the most precise method — KaloTopia reads the exact page you're looking at and extracts the product name, current price, and image automatically.
Works with Amazon, Walmart, Target, eBay, Best Buy, Etsy, Shein, Temu, Carter's, Nike, Home Depot, Wayfair, and 100+ other stores. Short links (from apps like the Amazon app or TikTok Shop) are automatically expanded to the full product URL.
💡 Best for: When you're already on the product page you want to track. Just copy the link from your browser and paste it in.
🔁 URL not working? A small number of sites block automatic reading. If your link won't go through, take a screenshot of the product instead — see Upload Screenshots below.
Upload Screenshots
Take a screenshot of any product — from any app, website, social media post, or ad — and upload it here. You can upload one or more screenshots at once.
Uploading multiple screenshots is especially powerful on mobile, where product information is spread across scrolled views. For example:
- ✓Screenshot 1 — the main product image and title
- ✓Screenshot 2 — the price and Add to Cart button
- ✓Screenshot 3 — the size or colour selector showing your chosen variant
KaloTopia reads all your screenshots together and combines the information — product name, brand, price, colour, size, pack count, and more — to identify the exact item and variant you're looking at. The more detail across your screenshots, the more precise the result.
💡 Best for: Products you saw in an Instagram ad, TikTok video, a friend's message, app-only deals, or anywhere a URL is hard to copy. Upload multiple screenshots for clothing, baby items, and variants where a single screenshot might not show the full picture.
🔁 If a pasted URL won't go through — some stores block automatic reading of their pages — take a screenshot of the product instead and track it that way. It works just as well.
Scan Barcode
Point your phone's camera at the barcode on any physical product — a box in a store, a package you received, or a product you own. KaloTopia reads the barcode, identifies the product, and looks up the current price online.
This works with most standard retail barcodes (UPC, EAN-13). Make sure the barcode is well-lit and hold the camera steady. You'll need to allow camera access when prompted.
💡 Best for: Physical products you're holding right now — groceries, toys, electronics, household items. Great for comparing in-store prices to online prices instantly.
Your Dashboard
Your dashboard is your home base. Every product you're tracking lives here. Here's what you're looking at:
Tracked Items
Each item is shown as a card with its product image, name, current price, target price, and status. The status badge tells you at a glance whether the item is being tracked, has been alerted, or is paused.
Stats Bar
At the top of the dashboard you'll see three numbers: how many items you're actively tracking, how many have been alerted (price dropped!), and how many are paused. Tap any number to filter your list to just that group.
Add Another Item
The dashboard shows four quick buttons — Type to Search, Scan Barcode, Product URL, and Upload Screenshot. These take you straight to that tracking method so you can add new items without going back to the home page.

Alerts & Notifications
When the price drops to your target (or below), KaloTopia sends you an alert immediately. Here's how it works:
Email Alerts
Every user gets email alerts, no matter where in the world you are. The email shows the product name, the price drop, which store it's at, and a direct link to buy it immediately.
SMS Alerts (US & Canada only)
If you're in the US or Canada, you can add your phone number to get text message alerts as well. SMS alerts arrive within seconds of a price drop being detected — faster than email for time-sensitive deals.
Outside US & Canada
If you're anywhere outside the US and Canada, you don't need a phone number. Just tick the "I'm outside the US & Canada" checkbox and email-only alerts are set up automatically. No phone number field will appear.
Weekly Digest
Every Sunday, KaloTopia sends a weekly digest email summarising everything you're tracking — current prices, how close each item is to your target, and any notable price movements from the past week.
Check Now & Buy Now
These two buttons are the most powerful features on your dashboard. Here's exactly what each one does:
Check Now
Tapping Check Now runs an instant price scan for that specific item right now, without waiting for the daily automatic check.
KaloTopia searches across multiple retailers simultaneously and finds the lowest available price. The result appears on the card within a few seconds.
If a lower price is found: A green Buy Now button appears showing the price and which store it's at. Tap it to go directly to that exact product at the lower price.
If no lower price is found: A Buy Now button still appears pointing to the original product page you're tracking. You can still buy it at the current price if you're ready.
If the price hits your target: Your status changes to Alerted and your email (and SMS if set up) fires immediately.
Buy Now
The Buy Now button appears after Check Now runs. It always points to the exact product you're tracking — not a search results page, not a similar item. The exact one.
If a lower price was found at a different store, Buy Now takes you there. If not, it takes you to the original product page. Either way you're one tap from purchasing.
View Product
View Product is always visible and takes you directly to the product page on the original store — regardless of whether you've run Check Now or not.
For URL-tracked items, this is the exact URL you pasted. For screenshot-tracked items, this is the exact product page that was identified from your screenshots. For barcode and search items, it's the product listing that was found.
Managing Your Items
You have full control over every item you're tracking. Here's everything you can do:
Edit Name
Tap Edit → Edit Name to rename the item on your dashboard. Useful if the extracted name is too long or you want something shorter and easier to recognise at a glance.
Edit Target Price
Tap Edit → Edit Price to change your target price. Do this if you decide you're willing to pay a bit more, or if the price has already dropped and you want to track it even lower.
Pause Tracking
Tap Pause to temporarily stop monitoring an item. It stays on your dashboard, no price checks run, and no alerts are sent. Tap Resume to start again whenever you're ready. Useful if you've already bought the item but might want to track it again later.
Keep Tracking After an Alert
When an item is alerted, a Keep Tracking button appears. If you weren't ready to buy when the alert fired (maybe the deal sold out), tap this to reset the item back to Tracking status and continue monitoring.
Stop Tracking
Tap the stop/delete button on any item to permanently remove it from your dashboard. This can't be undone, so only do this if you're sure you no longer want to track the item.
